DISPATCHING CONTROL ASSISTANCE INTERNATIONAL

METALS – E&I ENGINEER – BELGIUM (12 Months)

Description :
We are looking for an E&I Engineer for a minimum of 12 months in Belgium (41).
  • You will be our customer's point of contact with the end customer and the electrical partner.
  • If necessary, you will take part in meetings with the end customer, the electrical partner and subcontractors/suppliers, possibly at the customer's offices (abroad).
  • You will liaise between the various entities (customer, electrical partner, project management, mechanical and/or hydraulic & pneumatic) on electrical issues.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating all subcontractors on the project.
  • You will report in real time to the TPM on the status and any difficulties/problems encountered in the progress of the project.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that suppliers/subcontractors comply with the customer's specifications. To do this, you may be required to carry out inspection visits or attend tests, possibly abroad, and write the corresponding reports.
  • You will analyse supplier/subcontractor proposals and report cost variances to the project manager.
Profile :
  • Master's degree in general electricity and (automation and/or instrumentation) at least 5 years' experience in low-voltage electrical engineering, ideally in a metallurgical project.
  • Knowledge of the main electrical components (33kV transformer, motors, drives, MCC, automation, sensors, etc.) and communications.
  • Fluency in French and English (languages spoken on a daily basis).
  • You are used to dealing with suppliers and customers
  • Meticulous, patient, organised on long-term projects, proactive, inquisitive, ingenious, innovation-oriented, ‘product’ and ‘manufacturing’ vision, willing to solve and anticipate problems, comfortable with data management, communicative and an active team member.
  • You can work within a structured team, as part of a matrix organisation and therefore take responsibility for several innovative (and development) projects at the same time.
