Civil Engineering Design Liaison Engineer – France (37) – 6 Months
Description :
Within the framework of the EPR2 nuclear programme, an engineering organisation is seeking a Civil Engineering Liaison Engineer to support the Design Liaison Team (DLT) during the execution studies phase of the project. You will be responsible for coordinating and supporting civil engineering design activities, including:

Ensuring technical coordination of civil engineering studies between design teams, the constructor and the client.

Consolidating and distributing design assumptions, input data and technical requirements.

Identifying, formalising and monitoring internal and external technical interfaces.
-
Verifying the completeness, consistency and availability of input data required for civil engineering studies.

Managing and tracking design changes and data evolution (change management).

Organising and leading technical coordination meetings, including:

Collaborative Meetings
-
Design Reviews
-
Interface Meetings
-
Clarification Meetings
-
Gate Reviews
-
-
Monitoring and resolving technical open points and engineering queries.
-
Supporting the production of global and detailed design studies, ensuring consistency between all project stakeholders.

Verifying that engineering deliverables comply with contractual, regulatory and normative requirements, including Eurocodes and RCC-CW standards.

Preparing documentation and technical input for client reviews and quality audits.
-
Providing regular project reporting, including progress updates, risk analysis and identification of critical technical issues.
Deliverables

Technical documentation such as design assumptions, calculation notes, feasibility studies and technical evaluations.

Organisational documentation, including meeting minutes, coordination reports and steering committee documentation.
Profile :
-
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in civil engineering.
-
At least 10 years of overall experience in engineering projects is preferred.

Experience in nuclear engineering or large industrial projects is highly valued.

Strong experience in civil engineering design coordination.
-
Good knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural engineering principles.

Experience working on complex infrastructure or nuclear projects.

Proficiency with engineering tools such as:

ANSYS
-
AutoCAD
-
Allplan 3D
-

Knowledge of Eurocodes and RCC-CW nuclear standards.

Programming skills in Python and VBA are considered an advantage.

Professional English proficiency is mandatory.
