Civil Structural Engineer – France (93) – 6 Months
Description :
Within the Nuclear Engineering Department, a leading engineering organisation is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to support civil engineering studies for nuclear infrastructure projects, including the EPR2 programme. The consultant will contribute to structural modelling, analysis and design activities related to reinforced concrete and steel structures used in nuclear facilities. The consultant will participate in the following activities:

Perform finite element modelling for civil engineering structures.

Carry out structural calculations and analysis for reinforced concrete and steel structures.

Conduct structural simulations and validation of calculation models.
-
Analyse calculation results including stresses, displacements, constraints and reinforcement requirements.

Design and dimension reinforced concrete and steel structures.
-
Produce engineering calculation notes and technical documentation.
-
Develop and improve calculation tools and methodologies.
-
Share best practices and support the dissemination of engineering knowledge within the team.

Contribute to dynamic structural analysis when required.
Profile :
-
Minimum 2 years of experience in civil engineering studies.
-
At least 5 years of overall experience in structural engineering or civil engineering projects.
-
Experience in nuclear engineering or complex industrial structures is considered an advantage.

Strong expertise in civil engineering structural calculations.
-
Experience with finite element analysis and structural modelling.

Proficiency in engineering software such as:

ANSYS

Code_Aster
-
Autocad
-
Structural Robot
-
LS-DYNA
-
-
Knowledge of reinforced concrete structural design.
-
Understanding of Eurocodes and RCC-CW standards is appreciated.

Ability to produce technical reports and engineering documentation in English.
