Nuclear Structures FEA – UK – 6 Months
Description :
Within major nuclear new build projects (Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C), support is required for the structural analysis of reinforced concrete structures as part of ongoing and future activities within the nuclear business unit.

Perform finite element analysis (FEA) of complex reinforced concrete structures

Assess structural behaviour under dynamic loading conditions (seismic, blast, etc.)
-
Conduct post-processing of FEM results to support design decisions
-
Contribute to development and enhancement of internal computational tools
-
Interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams

Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers
-
Participate in knowledge sharing and team capability development
Profile :
-
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in structural analysis
-
Strong expertise in reinforced concrete structures
-
Proven experience with ANSYS (mandatory) or equivalent FEM software
-
Experience in dynamic analysis (seismic, blast)
-
Background in highly regulated environments (nuclear preferred, infrastructure acceptable)

Advanced FEM modelling and analysis

Structural engineering (RC structures)

Interpretation of complex simulation results
-
Technical coordination and communication
-
Ability to deliver high-quality engineering packages within deadlines
