Civil & Structural Works Supervisor – Bulgaria – 6 Months

Description :
In the context of the integration of a new Air Separation Unit (ASU) into an existing industrial facility, we are seeking an experienced Civil and Structural Works Supervisor to oversee the full scope of on-site activities. The ideal candidate will combine strong field supervision experience in civil works and steel structures with knowledge of local Bulgarian regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

– Supervise piling, civil engineering, underground utilities, roads, paving, and steel building erection
– Review and approve job safety analyses and method statements for civil and structural works
– Ensure that works comply with drawings and applicable quality standards
– Anticipate upcoming work packages in coordination with the construction manager
– Confirm availability of critical materials and subcontractor readiness
– Coordinate free issue materials with the site logistics team
– Ensure the issuance and update of as-built drawings on a weekly basis
– Act as a safety leader: report hazards, lead toolbox talks, and halt unsafe or non-compliant works
– Conduct all on-site inspections as per the ITP (Inspection & Test Plan), with QA/QC support
– Maintain an up-to-date project documentation set, reflecting latest revisions
– Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and prepare minutes
– Track schedule progress with subcontractors, report deviations, and initiate recovery plans
– Initiate NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), propose corrective measures, and track closures
– Review and comment on QA documentation and support ITP validation
– Validate progress weekly based on field observations and feedback
– Track installed quantities and support remeasurement of the scope
– Report daily on site activities, incidents, and mitigation actions
Profile :
– Minimum 10 years’ experience in civil works supervision, including steel structure erection
– Experience in project delivery within industrial sites or heavy civil works
– Strong understanding of quality and HSE policies on international projects
– Familiarity with Bulgarian civil construction regulations is essential
– Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
– Fluent in English and Bulgarian
– Strong communication and documentation skills
