As part of a long-term defence project, we are looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer with strong software expertise. The role involves designing, developing, integrating, and validating software components that are embedded in complex electronic systems. These systems are developed for operational use under strict regulatory and quality requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

– Design and implement embedded software solutions in C and C++
– Analyse functional needs and translate them into software requirements
– Perform architectural design and documentation of embedded software
– Develop software modules and participate in integration and validation phases
– Produce technical documentation (design justifications, analysis descriptions, etc.)
– Apply development standards and methodologies (Agile, V-Model, etc.)
– Ensure code quality, testability and maintainability through good practices
– Collaborate in cross-functional teams and interface with hardware engineers
– Occasionally travel (domestic and abroad) for integration and testing

Technical Environment:

– Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) based on UNIX/POSIX
– Communication protocols: CAN bus, Serial, etc.
– Use of development frameworks such as Qt and Atlassian tools (Jira, BitBucket, Bamboo, etc.)
– Development aligned with defence-related quality standards
– Testing methodologies including unit testing and system validation
– Architectural documentation and requirements traceability
