GAS – ENGINEERING MANAGER – FRANCE (12 Months)

Description :
We are looking for a Engineering Manager for a minimum of 12 months in France (94).

AsĀ Engineering Manager, your role will be to lead the CO2 Terminal technical team and take full responsibility for engineering/technical matters for the remainder of the Project Development phase until the Final Investment Decision is taken and then during the Project Execution. The Engineering Manager reports to the Owner Project Director (OPD).

In Development phase:
  • Be responsible for all engineering and technical topics for the CO2 terminal,
  • Ensure technical integrity of the CO2 terminal design, in particular in relation with the EPC tenders,
  • Contribute to and validate the ITB technical appendices,
  • Validate replies to engineering queries from the EPC bidders of the 3 work packages,
  • Validate changes to the CO2 terminal FEED and supervise additional studies where required,
  • Contribute to the end customer contract for the technical part,
  • Liaise with technical experts from AL and its partner for the validation of matters of particular criticality,
  • Supervise the Technical Coordinators coordinating the technical and project matters for their respective work packages,
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure a proper balance between business requirements, financial targets and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with other project members to share knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices across projects and teams.
  • Travel once or twice a month to sites in the 59 region.
Profile :
  • Ability to understand and challenge engineers from various engineering disciplines
  • Languages (very good english level as well as french)
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage the interfaces between the partners and respectives stakeholders in the process (project management, procurement, business, finance, etc), and with the EPC contractors; ability to influence and embark people from vari
  • Good communication skills: languages, good writing skills
  • Basic knowledge in process design and technology will also be appreciated.
  • Proactive and capacity to drive activities until completion
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering of large scale industrial or oil & gas projects, with a track record in engineering management roles.
  • Solution-oriented mindset to identify solutions in the partners interests leveraging resources from both groups
