GAS – SENIOR EQUIPMENT & SKID DESIGN ENGINEER – BELGIUM (7 Months)
Description :
We are looking for an Senior Equipment and Skid Design Engineer for a minimum of 7 months in Belgium (41). To participate to product development and project execution of the electrolyser separation system, and particularly its gas washing system: system to remove electrolyte droplets from the oxygen and the hydrogen streams. This includes:

To challenge current design by developing alternatives and optimizations based on theory, calculations, CFD, testing, return of experience, literature, and exchanges with subcontractors.

To give instructions to the drafting team for the 3D models by considering all constraints (process function, system integration, instrumentation, manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, norms and standards).

To analyse client specifications.

To prepare technical documents for RFQ of pressure vessels and their internal elements such as distributors, packings, demister and baffles based on customer requirements, applicable norms and client specifications.

To analyse technical offers from subcontractors.

Follow-up of detailed engineering by subcontractors.

To participate to inspections at manufacturer workshop.

To provide support to other disciplines, including support to project manager for clarifications with client.

To analyse international norms and standards to check their applicability to our product and to adapt our design if required

Profile :
-
Process engineer or chemical engineer or mechanical engineer
-
At least 10 years (15 preferred) years of experience in chemical, oil & gas, power, or heavy industry sectors.

Interest in equipment design in a technically challenging process.

Experience with gas washing technology, including bubbling column and /or gas scrubbers and coalescer is a must have.

Experience in processes with hydrogen / oxygen / strong base is an asset.
