Description :
We are looking for a Works Engineer for a minimum of 6 months in France (Center regions).

As part of the Construction team, you will be responsible for managing works contracts relating to the construction or rehabilitation of surface facilities at underground gas sites.

Managing safety objectives on site:
  • Ensuring compliance with the EMO's HSE plan by the teams and works contractors, in conjunction with the HSE Preventer;
  • Ensure that the HSE aspects of the EPC's subcontractors and service providers are under control.
On-site organisation:
  • Control internal organisational aspects (PMP, site organisation memorandum, PMCT);
  • Draw up a specific site organisation memo as an appendix to the general site organisation memo, in line with the Site where the service is being provided (specific features, methods, communication, configuration, etc.);
  • Organise a weekly project management meeting with the OPC planner and the site manager, to monitor the actions of the project management supervision team;
  • Ensure that the site team has mastered the RTCS (standards and main specifications);
  • Write the site sections of the monthly progress report in conjunction with the site manager.
  • Acting as the interface with the Customer, the Operator and the on-site project management team.
Liaising with the design department:
  • Liaising with the design department (internal and/or external design office);
  • Participating in DIB reviews relating to site aspects;
  • Helping to prepare and taking part in constructability and maintainability/accessibility reviews to ensure that the constraints associated with carrying out a project on a site in operation, and that the equipment aspects are taken into account in the studies;
  • Organising, with the Project Engineer, site visits by tenderers.
Technical assistance during the execution phase:
  • Control the contract requirements for site aspects;
  • Ensuring that the project is properly accepted and taken over by the site (written parts of the works contract, execution documents, execution schedule, etc.);
  • Participate in the approval of documents such as the QAP, the general execution schedule and the contractors' site organisation notes;
  • Implementing, with subcontractors and service providers, the monitoring and control of quality assurance based on the QAPs of the works companies and particularly by applying the EPC's WORK CONTROL MANAGEMENT PLAN;
  • Ensuring that External Control of works contracts is carried out by the PMCT and PAQ supervision teams;
  • Manage and monitor modifications/adaptations (FMOD/FAD) by assisting CDPs/engineers with the appraisal of technical or contractual modifications to works contracts;
  • Manage and follow up contractors' NCFs (Non-Compliance Forms) following the issue of deviation forms by the Supervision team.
The deliverables will be as follows:
  • Site organisation memorandum;
  • VISA of the execution documents issued by the Contractors (QAP, schedule, organisation notes);
  • Monthly project activity reports;
  • Site modification/adaptation register or FNC.
Profile :
  • Minimum experience: 10 years.
  • Main skills: Piping, Instrumentation, Automation, LV/HV Electricity, CW.
  • Sector experience: Oil & Gas or engineering (MOE).
  • Software skills: MS office suite (imperative), MSP (recommended).
