As part of a major hydrogen plant construction and commissioning project, we are seeking a junior HSES Site Assistant to work under the supervision of the senior Site HSES Manager. This role is an opportunity for a motivated early-career professional to gain on-site health, safety, environment, and security (HSES) experience within a structured and regulated industrial environment.

Role Objective:

The Junior HSES Assistant will support the implementation of HSES policies and procedures on site, perform safety observations, assist in document management and training sessions, and serve as a key presence for promoting a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

– Assist in daily site safety walkdowns and field observations
– Help monitor and report unsafe behaviours or hazardous situations
– Participate in toolbox talks and training activities
– Support the review and management of work permits and job hazard analyses (JHA)
– Track and update the HSES documentation in line with project requirements
– Follow up with subcontractors on HSE non-compliance and support corrective actions
– Assist in organising weekly HSES meetings and maintaining related reporting
– Help ensure that site induction and safety briefings are properly delivered and recorded
– Support the implementation of safety signage, protective equipment availability, and emergency protocols
– Participate in incident investigations under the guidance of the senior HSES Manager
– Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe working environment on site
