Materials Qualification Engineer – France (13) – 6 Months

Description :
We are looking for a Materials Qualification Engineer (M/F) to support an equipment qualification and replacement project in a nuclear environment.

Obsolescence Management & Equipment Selection
  • Identify and analyse obsolete components and propose replacement solutions.
  • Manage contacts with suppliers to assess re-supply options.
  • Compare and validate design changes between original equipment and new solutions in terms of nuclear safety.
Qualification & Compliance
  • Drafting technical specifications and purchase requisition files for instrumentation equipment.
  • Supervising factory acceptance tests and analysing manufacturers' files.
  • Monitor the equipment qualification process in compliance with nuclear standards and guidelines.
  • Selecting and coordinating test laboratories for equipment qualification.
  • Carrying out technical audits of suppliers and drafting audit reports.
Relations with stakeholders & Reporting
  • Working with experts from suppliers, the customer and the Nuclear Safety Authority.
  • Presenting and defending equipment qualification to the customer and the safety authorities.
  • Write and analyse qualification reports and monitor qualification tests.
Profile :
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in material qualification engineering (6 years ideally).
  • Technical skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of equipment qualification and certification processes in a nuclear environment.
    • Experience in supplier management and test monitoring.
    • Good command of Pack Office for monitoring and documenting analyses.
  • Personal skills:
    • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and to collaborate with several project participants.
    • Excellent analytical, writing and technical argumentation skills.
    • Rigour and methodology to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
  • Languages: English required, fluent French.
