Mechanical Supervisor – Belgium – Permanent Position

Description :
The Mechanical Site Supervisor will be responsible for planning, organising, supervising, and managing all on-site mechanical assembly activities for industrial projects. 
The role ensures technical excellence, compliance with safety standards, and coordination between subcontractors, and clients.
  • Supervise mechanical assembly activities (steel structures, casings, piping, insulation, mechanical equipment) in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Oversee commissioning activities, including leak testing of fluid networks, furnace tightness checks, and performance tests.
  • Collect and distribute all contractual information related to on-site activities to supervisors and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and coordinate interventions with all stakeholders.
  • Liaise with partners and clients, participate in site coordination and progress meetings.
  • Manage delivery reception, handling, and proper storage of equipment on site.
  • Monitor compliance with safety and conduct rules for all on-site teams under Drever International's responsibility.
  • Manage and report site expenses where applicable.
  • Prepare progress reports, manage project supplements, and contribute to “as-built” documentation for project close-out.
  • Enforce and promote health and safety standards on-site, reporting any incidents or violations to project management.
Profile :
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience on industrial furnace or mechanical assembly sites
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, technical drawings, and commissioning activities
  • Ability to coordinate subcontractors, site teams, and multiple stakeholders
  • Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Word, MS Planner, and internet-based platforms
  • Fluency in English (technical reading/writing) – additional languages are an asset
  • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
