Nuclear Finite Element Analyst – United Kingdom – 8 Months

Description :
We are looking for an experienced Finite Element Analyst to support the structural analysis and design substantiation of reinforced concrete structures for major UK nuclear new-build programmes and future nuclear projects.

Key responsibilities
  • Perform complex structural analyses using FEM software (ANSYS experience highly valued).
  • Assess structural behaviour under dynamic loads (including seismic and blast scenarios).
  • Post-process FEM results to support reinforced concrete design activities and deliverables.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering methods, including support to internal calculation tools (programming exposure is a plus).
  • Coordinate and communicate on complex technical topics within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Provide technical guidance to other FE analysts and support the upskilling of junior team members.
Profile :
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience (10+ years preferred).
  • Strong background in reinforced concrete structural analysis.
  • Proven FEM capability; ANSYS is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality technical work to schedule within a regulated environment.
