Structural Engineer – France (13) – 6 Months
Description :
As part of several nuclear projects, an engineering company is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Structural Calculation Engineer to strengthen its Design Centre team. The position involves the design, modelling and justification of civil engineering structures as part of the design and construction of nuclear facilities, in coordination with other technical disciplines (processes, ventilation, safety, general installation, etc.).

Responsible for the design and structural analysis of nuclear buildings and structures (reinforced concrete and metal structures).

Carry out design, reassessment or reinforcement studies for buildings in a multi-disciplinary context.

Develop finite element models, define load cases and combinations.

Perform static and dynamic calculations, including rapid dynamics.

Critically analyse and interpret the numerical results obtained from the models.

Write and format calculation notes and technical documents (structural descriptions, anchor studies, technical notes).

Ensure technical coordination with other trades and the client.

Participate in the tendering process for Nuclear Division projects.

Supervise and support young engineers according to project needs
Profile :

Education: Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 7 years (ideally 10 to 12 years) in structural calculations in the nuclear or complex industrial sector.

Proficiency in modelling and finite element calculation tools (such as ANSYS, Robot or equivalent).

Solid knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel structures and material strength.

Good analytical, summarising and technical writing skills.

Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and provide technical coordination.
