System Engineer – Belgium – 9 Months

Description :
We are looking for a System Engineer to support the development of high-pressure alkaline electrolysers. You will be involved in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring the technical coherence and system-level integration of innovative hydrogen production equipment. This role plays a critical part in accelerating the energy transition through cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

– Assist the Chief Engineer in defining technical scopes, deliverables, and requirements for NPI projects
– Write and manage the Product Design Specification (PDS), ensuring its accurate distribution to relevant modules
– Ensure system compliance with the Product/Project Requirement Specification (PRS)
– Participate in testing and verification strategy development, with the validation/compliance engineer
– Coordinate subsystem integration to ensure complete and functional system delivery
– Provide system-level technical reporting and status updates
– Contribute to design-to-cost efforts and identify areas for optimisation
– Approve testing, verification, and validation outcomes at system level
– Implement and track risk mitigation plans
– Foster collaboration across engineering, project management, and validation teams
Profile :
– Engineering degree (Master level) in civil or industrial engineering
– Minimum 6 years of experience in system engineering, integration, or process design
– Experience in sectors involving gases (hydrogen and/or oxygen) is an asset
– Strong proficiency in English
– Solid understanding of system-level requirements, documentation, and integration practices
– Familiarity with tools such as IBM DOORS, IBM Rhapsody, and MS Excel
– Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills
– Open-minded, curious, and confident in questioning assumptions
