Test Engineer – Belgium – 6 Months
Description :
The Test Engineer is responsible for planning, carrying out and analysing experimental tests, the aim of which is to verify the quality and performance of our products, with reference to the applicable technical specifications. He/she carries out his/her responsibilities by encouraging collaborative work with all the experts involved in the development of the systems, sub-systems and/or technological components to be tested, or whose performance is to be demonstrated in specific "demonstration" sessions. The test engineer is required to:

Drawing up test plans,

Drawing up test protocols, taking account of standard requirements where applicable,

Plan the tasks to be carried out in the preparatory phase and during the tests

Assign roles to the staff concerned,

Participating in the post-processing of data, writing test reports and distributing them to the relevant people,
-
Ensure that raw and post-processed data and associated reports are archived,
-
Ensure the safety of self and others, particularly colleagues
-
Preparing TRRs (Test Readiness Reviews) (test and/or demonstration campaigns)
-
Organise TRRs prior to test/demonstration sessions, and invite stakeholders,
-
Define the appropriate instrumentation for the physical quantities to be measured, taking into account the conditions of the tests and/or demonstration sessions,
-
Ensuring that test equipment (sensors, recording racks, cameras, etc.) is properly maintained,
-
To store and reference test equipment in the cupboards provided for this purpose.

Ensuring that the calibration of instrumentation chains is kept up to date.

Participate in the continuous improvement of the "Special Tests and Measurements" department
-
Participating in Design Reviews to bring the vision of Testability and Accessibility of sub-systems,
-
Willing to travel to organise and carry out tests. The frequency of trips varies, between 3 and 5 times a year. Each trip lasts between 3 and 15 days,
Profile :
-
An engineering degree or equivalent (in testing, instrumentation, electromechanics, electronics or related fields)
-
Experience in a similar role,
-
Knowledge of instrumentation, signal processing and data processing
-
Experience of test equipment (vibration, thermal, strain gauges, pressure, etc.)
-
Knowledge of special measurements (vibration, stress measurements, etc.)
-
Experience in radar and sound measurements is a plus
-
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
-
Attach great importance to the safety of self and others,
-
Knowledge of the Norms and Standards defining the conduct of tests. Knowledge of military standards, in particular Mil-Std-810, is a plus.

Fluency in English, at least technical,
