Lead Planner – Tajikistan – 12 Months
Description :
A major international engineering project is seeking an experienced Lead Master Planner to join the site-based project management team for a large-scale hydropower development in Tajikistan.
Reporting directly to the Chief Resident Engineer (CRE), the Lead Master Planner will be responsible for the overall planning, scheduling, and progress control of the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities performed by multiple contractors on site. Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate all planning-related activities under the supervision of the Chief Resident Engineer.

Manage all deliverables and documentation related to the Programme of Works, as defined in the Consultant’s contract.

Use and maintain specialised scheduling tools, primarily Primavera P6, to ensure accurate progress monitoring and control.

Develop, maintain, and regularly update the Overall Implementation Programme (OIP).

Review, analyse, and comment on the Contractors’ monthly progress reports, highlighting key risks and critical path elements.

Prepare and contribute to the scheduling sections of the Monthly Progress Report.

Assist in the verification of quantities and in the assessment of claims and variations submitted by Contractors.

Support risk analysis and cost forecasting activities.

Provide training and mentoring to Employer’s seconded personnel and junior planning engineers.

Coordinate effectively with all site-based team members, including supervisors, contract managers, and engineers.
Profile :

Education: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 20 years of professional experience, including substantial experience on large-scale international construction projects (multi-billion value).

Proven track record in projects involving major civil works (earthworks, underground structures, E/M works, etc.) and coordination of multiple contractors.

Significant experience in hydropower infrastructure projects.

Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory).

Autonomy in conducting Monte Carlo analysis (risk-based scheduling).

Excellent command of English (spoken and written).

Strong communication and reporting skills (PowerPoint, Excel, graphical presentations).

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multidisciplinary teams.

Proactive mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and willingness to coach junior staff.

Russian language is considered an asset.
