DCAI is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning of a pusher furnace upgrade for a major steel industry project in Porto, Portugal.

The project involves the commissioning of newly installed equipment on a 100-tonne-per-hour pusher furnace, including a new stack, waste gas duct, recuperator and damper system.

• Inspect and verify the correct installation of field instruments

• Check oxygen analysers, thermocouples, damper actuators and associated instrumentation

• Perform functional testing of the newly installed equipment

• Support loop checks and commissioning activities

• Fine-tune the furnace pressure control system

• Verify the performance of the new damper and its associated control loop

• Identify and resolve instrumentation and control issues during commissioning

• Coordinate with the mechanical, electrical, automation and site teams

• Prepare commissioning records and report outstanding technical issues
