Civil Work Supervisor – Netherlands – 6 Months

Description :
As part of a large-scale hydrogen production facility (electrolyser) in the Netherlands, we are looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Works Supervisor. 

This large-scale project is part of a Europe-wide energy transition strategy.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Supervisor will be the operational contact on site for all civil engineering and structural work. 

He/she will play a central role in safety, quality and the progress of the work in compliance with the client's standards.

Main responsibilities
  • Validation of Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Method Statements
  • Supervision of foundation work, roadworks, earthworks, external works and building construction
  • Monitoring compliance with execution plans and internal quality standards
  • Anticipating site phases: checking resources, methods and equipment availability
  • Coordination with engineering teams, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitoring and updating As-Built plans on a weekly basis
  • Carrying out inspections in accordance with the quality control plan (ITP)
  • Leading weekly meetings with subcontractors and taking minutes
  • Daily reporting to the site manager: progress, problems, corrective actions, etc.
  • Safety and technical talks (2 to 3 per week)
  • Monitoring progress indicators and reporting to management
  • Monitoring non-conformities (NCR), proposing and implementing solutions
  • Supporting the quality manager in analysing control plans and managing quality deliverables
  • Participating in updating documentation (plans, ITP, reports)
  • Monitoring the quantities installed and the remeasurement of the scope of work
Profile :
  • 
    
  • Training in civil engineering, public works or equivalent
  • 
    
  • At least 10 years' proven experience supervising civil engineering works on industrial sites
  • 
    
  • Previous experience in an international environment, ideally on hydrogen or energy projects
  • 
    
  • Knowledge of Dutch civil engineering standards
  • 
    
  • N1/N2 or VCA safety clearance required
  • 
    
  • Proficiency in field monitoring tools, reporting and technical plans
  • 
    
  • Excellent autonomy, ability to anticipate operational bottlenecks
  • 
    
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work transversally with several stakeholders
  • 
    
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
