LV/ELV Electrical Engineer – France (93) – 4 Months
Description :
DCAI is looking for an experienced LV/ELV Electrical Engineer to support complex building-services projects, with a particular focus on hospital and airport facilities. The consultant will perform electrical engineering studies from feasibility through execution, covering both low-voltage power systems and extra-low-voltage services.

Carry out electrical studies during feasibility, concept, preliminary, detailed and execution phases

Design and size LV power-distribution systems

Develop HV/LV distribution principles, switchboards, generators and UPS systems
-
Perform cable-sizing, short-circuit, selectivity, protection and lighting calculations
-
Design ELV systems, including fire detection, security, access control, CCTV and intrusion detection
-
Design structured cabling and data networks
-
Support building management and technical management systems
-
Integrate hospital requirements relating to patient safety, redundancy and critical circuits
-
Integrate airport requirements relating to continuous service, security and 24/7 operation
-
Prepare technical specifications, schedules, calculation notes and tender documents
-
Produce single-line and multi-line diagrams
-
Contribute to BIM models using Revit MEP
-
Coordinate with HVAC, structural and architectural disciplines
-
Review contractors’ technical documentation and proposed design alternatives

Participate in FAT, SAT and commissioning activities
-
Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
Profile :
-
Degree in electrical or building-services engineering
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in building electrical engineering; approximately 10 years preferred

Significant experience on hospital and/or airport projects
-
Strong knowledge of LV electrical distribution and network sizing

Experience with generators, UPS systems, redundancy and power-quality requirements
-
Knowledge of fire detection and life-safety systems
-
Experience with CCTV, access control, intrusion detection and data networks

Understanding of building management systems

Ability to work independently on electrical studies

Strong knowledge of regulatory and technical requirements for critical facilities
-
Experience in complex industrial or occupied environments
