Nuclear FE Analyst – UK (BS1) – 6 Months
Description :
We are supporting a leading international engineering company in the delivery of advanced structural analysis for major nuclear projects, including Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC).
The role focuses on finite element analysis (FEA) of reinforced concrete structures within a highly regulated environment.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) of complex reinforced concrete structures
- Analyse structures under:
- static and dynamic loads
- seismic conditions
- extreme load cases (e.g. blast scenarios)
- Develop and validate structural models using FEM tools
- Contribute to methodology development and internal tools improvement
- Support multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior analysts
- Participate in technical reviews and project coordination
Profile :
- Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience in structural analysis
- Strong experience in:
- reinforced concrete structures
- FEM / FEA modelling
- Proficiency in:
- ANSYS (or equivalent FEM software)
- Experience in:
- large infrastructure projects
- nuclear or highly regulated environments (UK preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
