Nuclear Civil Engineer – UK (BS1) – 6 Months
Description :
We are supporting a leading international engineering company in the delivery of civil engineering design and management activities for major nuclear projects, including Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC).
The role involves working within a highly regulated environment, contributing to complex infrastructure and reinforced concrete design packages.
- Deliver civil engineering design and technical coordination for nuclear projects
- Manage and coordinate engineering work packages
- Review and validate contractor deliverables and technical queries
- Perform or supervise reinforced concrete structural analysis and design
- Provide technical guidance to engineering teams
- Interface with clients and key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with:
- Eurocodes
- British Standards
- Nuclear industry requirements
- Support tendering and business development activities when required
Profile :
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 10+ years of experience (20 years preferred)
- Strong experience in:
- reinforced concrete design
- major infrastructure projects
- nuclear or highly regulated environments (UK preferred)
- Proven experience with:
- ANSYS or equivalent FEM software
- Strong knowledge of:
- Eurocodes / British Standards
- Experience on projects such as HPC or SZC is a strong advantage
