EPR – ROAD WORKS AND VARIOUS NETWORKS ENGINEER

Description :
For one of our clients, we are looking for a Road works and various networks Engineer for a minimum period of 6 months in France (13). As part of major nuclear projects (EDF’s « Grand Carénage » programme, post-Fukushima, Defence infrastructure, etc.) in France, the aim of the assignment is to develop skills in roads and miscellaneous networks (VRD). Within the framework of studies as project owner or project manager for the design phases (ESQ / APS / APD / PRO / DCE / ACT) and works phases (VISA /DET / OPC / AOR /DOE):
  • Coordination of the integration of RWVN requirements and constraints into the design documentation, working closely with the other technical and cross-disciplinary professions: GC, Cfo-Cfi, HVAC, SLI-SdF, etc./ Nuclear Safety, Quality, etc. To this end, the engineer organises the « steering », scoping, coordination or progress meetings required for projects to progress smoothly;
  • Defining the RWVN requirements and constraints applicable to the project and monitoring them as part of the quality summary file;
  • Carrying out, drafting and monitoring studies and technical specifications (earthworks, external works, waste water, storm water, dry networks, roads, etc.) relating to engineering projects during the various phases of a project;
  • Drawing up and checking technical documents;
  • Managing technical interfaces with other trades;
  • Assisting the project in technical discussions with the customer;
  • Analysing technical documents and implementing them in the performance of services;
  • Guaranteeing the quality of deliverables and relations with our customers;
  • Managing draughtsmen and designers
  • Managing external services
  • Approval of execution documents
  • Monitoring manufacturing/installation in the factory and on site
  • Monitoring factory and on-site testing
  • Providing support to the sales and tendering department;
  • Participate in the development of technical skills within the department;
  • Comply with our customers’ and these customers’ HSE rules.
  • All of these activities are carried out in close collaboration with all of the project players/cells: Management, Project, Technical Studies, Cost, Implementation, Planning, ….
Travel requirements: once a week in Marseille.
Profile :
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the nuclear sector
  • Main skills in nuclear GC, calculation of EP/EU networks, roads, GC structures.
  • Proficiency in FE calculation software
  • PR1 accreditation preferred
